Editorial Policy

How WRX Base reviews, organizes, and updates information.

WRX Base aims to make WRX research easier to verify and easier to use. We prioritize clear sourcing, compatibility context, and practical edits over hype or unsupported claims.

How Mod Data Is Sourced

Mod listings are assembled from publicly available manufacturer pages, retailer listings, product documentation, and internal research. We may normalize titles, categories, features, and fitment details so different products can be compared more clearly.

Pricing, availability, and product details can change without notice, so the site should be treated as a research starting point rather than a final purchasing authority.

How Compatibility Notes Are Reviewed

Compatibility notes are reviewed before publication and updated when we find stronger evidence or receive credible correction reports. We look for fitment specifics, required supporting mods, trim or model year caveats, and whether a note reflects manufacturer guidance, seller information, or community-reported experience.

When information is incomplete or conflicting, we try to present the uncertainty instead of overstating confidence.

How Owner-Submitted Builds Are Handled

Owner-submitted builds help show real-world combinations and install sequences, but they are still user content. We may review builds for obvious spam, broken formatting, duplicate entries, or claims that need moderation, but a published build does not automatically mean every listed part combination has been independently verified by WRX Base.

How Corrections Can Be Submitted

If you spot an issue, email contact@wrxbase.com or use the guidance on our corrections page. Useful reports include the page URL, the specific issue, and any source or firsthand context that supports the correction.

Claims We Avoid

WRX Base avoids unsupported performance claims, guaranteed outcome claims, and blanket warranty claims. Modifications can affect reliability, emissions compliance, drivability, and warranty outcomes differently depending on the vehicle, tune, installation quality, and dealer or manufacturer policies.

Independence

WRX Base is an independent community resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Subaru.
