OTS is easiest entry-level, e-tune is usually best value for modded owners, and pro tune is generally the most precise and most expensive option.
What tuning actually does
Calibration adjusts fueling, boost, and timing strategy so hardware works together correctly. Better tuning usually improves both power and drivability.
Tune types
OTS: quick and simple but not tailored. E-tune: remote custom process using logs. Pro tune: live dyno calibration with high precision and cost.
When tune is required
Airflow changes such as intake and j-pipe generally require tune support. Intercooler and related airflow hardware also benefit from matching calibration.
