The OBDLink EX is a wired USB OBD-II interface built by OBD Solutions around an STN chipset, listed at $69.95 and best known as the adapter recommended for Ford's FORScan. Its Atlas status needs care. NAMR's FAQ describes Atlas as fully supporting the Tactrix Openport 2.0 and STN-based adapters such as the OBDLink EX through a driver built into Atlas. However, NAMR's more recently updated supported-device table lists only the Tactrix Openport 2.0 and the OBDX Pro VX, and carries a standing notice that an OBDLink EX on firmware 5.10, 5.11, or 5.12 may fail to communicate with or flash a 2022+ VB WRX until fixed firmware is released by the vendor. NAMR offers to reconfigure affected adapters with beta firmware 5.9.5 or 5.13.1 and later. For a VB owner starting fresh with Atlas, that makes this the least predictable of the three adapters. It is included here because it is widely owned and explicitly discussed in NAMR's documentation, not because it is the current recommendation.
