PERRIN part PSP-SUS-565 clamps around the factory steering dampener to limit its rubber compliance rather than replacing the steering rack or changing alignment. The two black-anodized 6061-aluminum halves are intended to make steering inputs feel more immediate and connected. PERRIN's current application data includes the VB WRX; owners should still inspect the steering joint and confirm the exact application before installation. The lockdown can transmit more road texture or vibration through the wheel, and it cannot correct worn tie rods, rack joints, or suspension bushings. Access is tight around the steering linkage, so the two halves must be seated evenly without pinching nearby boots or wiring. Cycle the steering lock-to-lock after installation and verify unrestricted movement before driving.
