Full Answer
Atlas changed this workflow in version 2026.1. Its current documentation says the datalogger only supports non-factory custom calibrations that have been flashed directly by Atlas; factory calibrations are read-only and can be used for recovery, but they are not eligible for current Atlas datalogging. Newly added loggable parameters may also require a reflash.
That means the old advice to learn Atlas by logging a completely stock factory calibration before any flash is no longer current. Identify the vehicle and calibration, read the documentation for the installed Atlas release, use supported hardware, and involve a qualified tuner before the first custom-calibration flash.
Logging records polled ECU values, but the required flash and the act of driving still carry separate procedural and mechanical risks. Use a stable connection and power supply as directed, review logs after driving, and never watch the laptop or perform a pull unsafely on a public road.
