Do I need adjustable rear lower control arms when lowering a 2022+ WRX?
Not always. Get the alignment first and find out. A mild drop often stays within factory adjustment; a significant drop frequently does not, and that is when adjustable arms become the fix.

Do I need an alignment after installing lowering springs or coilovers?
Yes, always, and wait for the suspension to settle first. Lowering changes camber and toe by design, and skipping the alignment will destroy a set of tires faster than the springs cost.
