The COBB Accessport V3 (AP3-SUB-006) is a handheld ECU/TCU interface for the VB WRX. It supports flashing compatible COBB Off-The-Shelf or custom calibrations, live gauges, data logging, and fault-code reading. COBB lists 2022–2026 WRX manual and CVT applications, with model-year and feature caveats documented on its fitment page. Installation uses the OBD-II port, and the device remains married to the vehicle until it is properly uninstalled. This is a tuning device rather than a stand-alone power part: use only a calibration written for the vehicle's exact fuel and hardware. COBB warns that installing over non-OEM or non-COBB software may cause ECU or TCU failure.

Yes. The software is not the risk - what you write with it is. A sensible map flashed with proper preparation is as safe on a daily driver as any other tuning route.
There is no universal 300whp parts list. Fuel, dyno, transmission, exact hardware, and calibration all change the route and budget; set the target with a qualified tuner before buying parts.
Warranty Impact, Flashing ECU can be detected and may affect powertrain warranty.

The short block is generally considered safe to around 400whp, with real caution beyond 400 to 450. But you will hit the stock turbo around the low 300s and the stock transmission's torque limit well before the engine becomes the problem.
